Benton Bay Lions is one of many Lions Clubs in Anchorage. Our mission is Alaska youth sports.

Where there's a need, there's a Lion. Lions Clubs International is the largest service club organization in the world. Our 1.4 million members perform valuable service in 210 countries and geographic areas around the globe.

Lions are friends, family and neighbors who share a core belief: community is what we make it.

Club Meetings

Club Meetings are held at noon on the first and third Tuesday of each month at Guido's Pizza, 549 W Intl Airport Rd, Anchorage.
Board meetings are held on second Tuesdays. Contact us for time and location. Meetings can be accessed by zoom upon request.

Scholarship Details • $500 annual scholarship • Maximum of 4 years • Paid to the institution on student's behalf. Deadline April 15, 2024. Download flyer and more information here.

Benton Bay Spring Bowling

Plan to join us bowling at Jewel Lake Bowling Center, April 27, 2024. Sponsored by Benton Bay and Anchorage Lions Clubs. Bowling, prizes, split-the-pot, 50,000 Alaska Airline Miles. Proceeds to Lions Club International Foundation Childhood Cancer. Learn more and sign up here.

Vision Programs

Multiple District Alaska Lions Care-a-Van for Vision A Visionscreening roadtrip – Anchorage to Valdez this September 11- 15, 2023, offering vision and hearing screening and immunizations. Read more here.

Multiple District 49 Aurora Borealis Lions Eyeglass Recycling & Vision Center generates nearly 22,000 pairs of reuseable eyeglasses every year and offers comprehensive exams in their contemporary examination lane. Read more hear and learn how you can donate old glasses.

Anchorage Area Lions Joint Sight Committee has been assisting residents of the Anchorage area since the late 1960s with vision screening in grade schools and at community events and financial assistance for eye care. Read more here.
