Tuesday, Evening, December 27, 2016, Holiday Party, bring a $5-10 white elephant gift AND a $10-15 wrapped new toy. Gifts will be kept together during the exchange. At the end of the party, the toys will be collected and donated to a local charity. Social starting at 6:30, Meeting starts at 7:00, Don Jose's on Northern Lights.

Tuesday, October 11, 2016, Noon, Dr. Christine West on Addiction, Drug addiction and use all types of mind bending drugs is becoming rampant in our communities. We just had one of our most successful weekends in years with attendance at the UAA Hockey Games over 6,000 for the two nights and the largest number of Lion participation in sales for some time. Unfortunately our Seawolf Hockey team did not have a good weekend. This coming weekend they will be in Fairbanks for the Nanooks Classic. This weekend also was the induction of 5 new members to the Seawolf Hall of Fame.
Friday, October 7, 2016, First Hockey Game of the Season with Minnesota Golfers from Big Ten Hockey/ October 8, with UAF. Both at 7pm. We need all hands on deck as a large crowd is expected with some 4,000 tickets sold.

Wednesday, September 7, 2016, Student Union Cafeteria, North and South, UAA public hearings for the public to weight in on the proposed cuts to athletics. It is important our club is represented there to voice our opinion. All 3 options set before the Regents involve either eliminating or reducing hockey, gymnastics and skiing and worst case scenario - eliminating all sports.

Lion Bill was born in Anchorage, attended Chugiak High, graduated from UAF with a degree in Political Science. Worked as Legislative Staff from 1982-2002. Elected to the State House and then the State Senate. He is retiring after this term from the Senate.
