Tuesday, Noon, November 17, 2017, Guest Speaker Steve Nerland on development of Youth programs in Alaska and funding for continuing the Great Alaska Shootout. Steve & Don Winchester have contributed more in hard work  and brilliant execution to fund projects to make this a community well served with the best programs. Nothing can surpass the work that was done by Steve and Don to fund the Alaska Airlines athletic facility on the campus of UAA.

Tuesday, Noon, November 7, 2017, Guest Speaker Tim McDiffett, Athletic Director (Interim), University of Alaska, Anchorage. Tim will be meeting with us to coordinate  our efforts to assist the Seawolves this year and give us the opportunity to inquire where we may better serve.

Tuesday, Noon, July 18, 2017, Speaker from Department of Natural Resources Terry Hess Alaska State Lands We received over 100 million acres of land plus mineral rights to that land making the holding of these lands as the source of our revenue and jobs. The State has the most valuable lands as it includes all lands around airports in the State and along the Alaska Railroad where most industrial development has taken place.

This should prove very interesting. Please bring your friends and neighbors for we need many new salesmen of Split the Pot for UAA events as well as others.

Tuesday Noon, May 2, 2017, Speaker Keith Hackett, Athletic Director UAA Budgets and economic reality. This club was formed and created because the athletic department needed a funding source outside the State system. Pete Hupperten took on the challenge from the Athletic Director at that time hence the club was born. We have raised hundreds of thousands of dollars for athletics through the sale of split the pot tickets and other activities. Perhaps athletics never needed our assistance more than today so we need more numbers. Not an easy task. I have never been prouder of my membership in BBALC than at the AOY banquet this past Friday night. Each of you can help us with ideas in how we can help UAA get more people in the seats at all events more particularly hockey. Tuesday, Noon, April 18, 2017, Guest Speaker  Louis Mass, Ass't Coach UAA Seawolves Hockey. Louis will be giving the club an insite into our 2017-2018 D-1 UAA Hockey Team. Louis is an Anchorage native, graduate of Bowling Green. He played professional hockey for 7 years plus has about 9 years of hockey coaching experience at the professional and college level.

Tuesday, Noon, April 4, 2017, Nominations for Officers for the coming year. Planning meeting with our new schedule of luncheon meetings on the 1st and 3rd Tuesday of each month. Please come and help layout a new plan for club expansion with our huge opportunity of service to UAA with the increased attendance expected for UAA hockey games with the Alaska Aces closing their doors. We can expect regular crowds of 4,000 to 5,000. Many new salesmen will be needed. This our opportunity to grow.

She is the winner of numerous awards for outstanding performance as an executive, developer of service organizations, author, and community organizer.

Every woman should want to hear this presentation as should every Alaskan informing us of the results of this new guaranty of equal pay regardless of gender. This lady is a very well informed speaker and the holder of many awards and recognitions. Please come and support your Lions club with respect for an outstanding presenter.
