Two fun events and one NO Meeting on Tuesday, December 30, 2014.
Tuesday Evening, January 6, 2015 at 6:00PM dinner meeting with the UAA Hockey Team at the Coast International Inn. This is a buffet with unlimited food except you may only have for your dinner entree either chicken, beef or pork loin. Per plate cost including gratuity should not exceed $33.00. Let me know if you are coming and what you will want to eat, pork, beef or chicken.

Tuesday Noon, 12/23/14, Christmas Party & Chinese Auction Gift Exchange Gift required for each one participating costing between $20 & $25. This the fun event of the year. Call all your friends to join us for this Party. We need Lions to join us and relax and have fun. Everyone participating in the exchange must bring a gift. Please come for our last meeting in 2014.

Congratulations to UAA Athletics for an extremely successful period for Hockey, Volleyball and Cross Country. UAA is doing great things with great student athletes. The Hockey Team is off to Maine this weekend without having a loss in the preseason.
The Oct. 25-26 weekend is the State Championships for large schools. Need a lot of split the pot salesman

From Lion Chuck on October 10 – We had a great weekend of Hockey, Volleyball & inductions into the Seawolf Hall of Fame. All teams won. Can you imagine UAA & UAF both won their games against Wisconsin & Maine. Coach Matt had a great game plan & the boys executed.

Members ,we had a fantastic installation banquet last Thursday with our new but experienced Lion Esther West serving as our President. The program was great and everyone seemed to have a fun time. Also joining our club with induction by District 49A Governor, Lewis Quinn, the newest Lion in the world Amy Erickson. All the Past District Governors explained to Amy why they were Lions. It was a program touched you to the core. Lion Amy your enthusiasm is terrific.
On June 24, 2014 we have our evening meeting and I have scheduled the tuba player from Hope Cottage. That would be the Care Coordinator for Hope Cottage, Jim Mallory. Remember, we meet between 6:30 PM & 7:00 PM at the Lone Star.
Next Tuesday we have Tiffany Wilson with ATLA as our next speaker. That is on June 17, 2014. Then the tuba player returns for Hope Cottage on June 24 our evening meeting.

Tuesday, Feb. 25, 2014: We need all our members to join us in a fun evening at the Lone Star with meet and greet at 6:00 PM with dinner at 7:00 PM Don't have a program but will ask Lion Coach Matt Thomas to come as UAA has a bye week.
Tuesday, Feb. 18, 2014: Christy Hickel the premier Women's HOCKEY Coach in Alaska. She has two daughters playing at division 1 schools presently. Previously ran a private academy in Girdwood teaching not only. Academics but skiing at the competitive level. She has two Master degrees from UAA and was formerly an Anchorage Fireman.
